Location: Gwinnett or surrounding area (Fully Onsite)

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is partnering with a growing automotive organization to identify an experienced Accounting Manager who is seeking long-term career growth within a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing multiple dealership locations and managing a full-cycle accounting function.

Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the financial operations for multiple business units, leading a small accounting team, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and values stability, team culture, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full month-end close process across assigned locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Review trial balances, analyze variances, and prepare financial statements
  • Ensure expenses are properly recorded and accrued in alignment with accounting standards
  • Manage and mentor a team across AP, AR, billing, and cash functions
  • Calculate and review commission structures for a high-volume employee base
  • Maintain internal controls and support audit readiness and performance-based initiatives

Qualifications

  • 4-5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 1-2+ years of management or supervisory experience
  • Automotive dealership industry experience required
  • Proven experience overseeing full-cycle accounting and month-end close
  • Strong tenure and demonstrated career stability preferred

Technical Skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with heavy day-to-day usage

Experience with dealership management systems such as Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, or Dealertrack preferred
